April News

Hello everyone! We hope you’re all managing to enjoy some of the beautiful sunshine now that it’s finally made an appearance! Whilst we love this warmer weather, we can’t stress enough how important it is for you to be using skin protection daily – you may be having the best anti-ageing treatments and using the best skincare ingredients but unless you’re applying SPF with both UVA and UVB protective sunscreen each morning, the skin ageing clock will simply keep on ticking! We all seem to be well educated on the damaging effects of the sun – UV radiation is responsible for around 90% of the visible signs of ageing, yet less than 50 percent of women use SPF daily… Don’t undo our hard work!

We recommend the ZO Oclipse® Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30 uses a multiple-defense sun protection system that provides full-spectrum defense against UVA rays and UVB rays. Additionally, natural melanin shields skin from the ageing effects of HEV light (high-energy visible light). This multi-tasking SPF sunscreen and makeup primer combination delivers a universal tint and silky matte finish to help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. This SPF can be used alone or worn under makeup for a more even, long-lasting application. If you would like to order the product please email orders@drtatiana.co.uk. Orders will be sent out weekly (on a Wednesday) and the cost of P&P is £7.50. Anyone wishing to use ZO skincare that hasn’t before will need to come in for an initial consultation.

Meet Our Team: Introducing Dr. Chandni

As most of you know the Dr Tatiana Aesthetic Clinic has been expanding and our team is growing, so we thought it would be a great idea to introduce you to our fabulous team. This month we’d like to introduce you to our very talented Doctor, Chandni.

Dr Chandni graduated from Kings College London with a distinction in her medical degree and a prize-winning first class degree in maternal and childhood physiology. Dr Chandni is a highly accomplished clinician who has published a volume of academic research which has been presented at international medical conferences. She is a member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists with a specialism in pain medicine, maternal & child health, and aesthetic medicine.

Dr Chandni takes a holistic approach to blend physical health and well-being. She is highly experienced in a number of treatments including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and skin rejuvenation treatments. Her background in Anaesthetics has served to provide vast experience  in delicate practical procedures, giving her an eye for perfection. Dr Chandni offers our clients a personalised service tailored to the physical and emotional needs of her patients, whilst ensuring that treatment is provided in a highly skilled and technically excellent manner.

Chandni, What is your favourite treatment?

Well, I have two at the moment… I absolutely love facial sculpting; it enables a beautiful enhancement of a person’s features, accentuating cheekbones and jawlines, helping to reduce the ‘jowl’ appearance. It provides a natural, defined and rejuvenated look. I use a microcannula technique which means no down-time for my patients, no bruising, and instant perfect results!

I also am a big fan of botox treatment for hyperhidrosis (sweating) of the underarms. It is perfect for the upcoming summer months; it is a quick procedure that yields brilliant results – my patients comment on how much less conscious they feel in the warmer months, especially  not having to worry about unsightly sweat patches!

Skincare ingredient of the month: Retinol

This month the spotlight is on one of our all-time favourite ingredients – Retinol. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A, an ingredient that promotes skin renewal and enhances collagen production (which starts to decline in your 30s). As well as lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, retinol can also reverse some of the side effects of sun damage and treat pigmentation. Retinol can also enhance collagen production to prevent the formation of future lines and wrinkles. Now is the perfect time to get started on this wonder ingredient – combined with a high SPF (especially during the summer months) and vitamin C in the morning, you are setting yourself up for great skin for life!
