Scar & Stretchmarks Treatment

£650 per session 30 minutes

Treatment Overview:

Scar tissue and stretchmarks can be treated by stimulating the skin to repair itself in a healthy way. The most effective way of doing this is by using a combination of Platelets and Growth Factors (harvested from a sample of your blood) together with Microneedling to stimulate your skin’s repair mechanism. Skin responds to trauma by healing itself, and this process repairs scarred or damaged tissue.

We recommend 3 sessions of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) with Microneedling. Each session is done 6 weeks apart. We are able to treat an area approximately the size of 2 hands (tips of fingers to wrist) per treatment session.

What is PRP?:

PRP is a treatment involving a sample of your own blood that is then processed and concentrated to yield a clear-yellowish liquid called Platelet-Rich Plasma. This is plasma that contains a high proportion of Platelets. When this solution is injected into the skin, it causes the skin to begin repairing, rebuilding and remodelling itself. The skin tightens, brightens and plumps up. PRP works brilliantly for a number of problems including ageing skin, scars, stretchmarks and hair loss.

Pain relief:

Topical anaesthetic cream.

Recovery & Aftercare:

There may be some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising.

Results:

Best results are seen after a course of 3 sessions . Once the area has been treated, the results are permanent. Stretchmarks will only return again if the skin is stretched e.g. during pregnancy or with weight gain.
