Plexr Treatment

From £500 90 minutes

Plexr is a revolutionary technology that removes excess skin by a process called sublimation. Plexr creates a plasma arc which ‘zaps’ away excess skin. Plexr is known as the ‘non-surgical blepharoplasty’ as it is the only treatment that enables us to remove excess skin without a single cut or stitch.

What can Plexr be used for ?

Plexr is commonly used for:

  • Upper & Lower eyelids
  • Wrinkles & Skin tightening
  • Acne scars
  • Removing warts, verrucas, skin tags, seborrhoeic keratosis

Treatment time:

We allow 90 minutes for your treatment to ensure we have plenty of time to numb the skin and carry out a thorough treatment.

Pain relief:

We use a very high-strength anaesthetic cream to relieve any discomfort during the treatment.

Recovery:

There is swelling, redness and crusting of the skin following Plexr. This may last for up to 7 days post-treatment. We advise that you plan your appointment ahead and allow yourself at least 7 days of recovery time off-work.

Results:

Plexr results are only apparent 3 months after treatment. This is because the skin gradually tightens and contracts over a period of 12 weeks.

The treatment is permanent. However, the skin will continue to age and eventually you may see problems such as wrinkles, saggy skin etc re-appear (usually after 5+ years). This is a normal process of ageing and the Plexr treatment can simply be repeated again.

Aftercare:

You will need to keep the area clean, dry and protected from the sun. You will be given an aftercare kit with creams to be applied twice a day for 7 days. This helps to promote healing and optimise your treatment results. You will need to protect from sun exposure until all of the redness has settled post-treatment.

Complications:

Plexr is very safe, it can even be used on the inner rim of the eye. The side effects of treatment are:

  • Redness
  • Crusting of the skin (a thin crust forms over the area treated with Plexr)
  • Swelling (for up to 7 days)
  • Soreness/itching at the treatment site (for up to 7 days)
  • Dry eyes (for up to 7 days)

Prior to treatment, the doctor will discuss Plexr in detail with you, including a thorough review of the risks/complications and how to look after the treated area to ensure you get the best results.

As with many skin treatments, there is a small risk of infection, burns, scars and pigmentation problems.

*We require a small deposit of £50 to book your appointment. The £50 will be used towards the cost of your treatment. It is not refundable if you do not attend your appointment, come late for your appointment or fail to give us 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

I had a Plexr Blepharoplasty 6 months ago and am really pleased with my results.

As expected, I had some redness & swelling after treatment, but this settled in about 5 days. I had my treatment on Friday afternoon and was back to work the following Wednesday – so only took 2 days off – which is great! I had a slight pinkness to the skin for about 3 weeks – but you could barely see & nothing that a tinted moisturiser couldn’t cover up. I then had a second session done about 2 months later, which wasn’t as intense as the first one and I was back to work after 3 days. I’m now super pleased with my results. I look so much fresher, my eyes look open and awake. Most of my friends noticed the difference because it was quite dramatic! But at least I could honestly tell them that I didn’t have ANY surgery! 🙂

    Thanks Dr Tatiana!
