We offer bespoke chemical peels at our London clinic that can help with many skin conditions such as acne, acne scars, pigmentation, sun damage, dull skin, fine lines, melasma, enlarged pores and uneven skin texture.
What are Chemical peels?
Chemical peels harness the power of naturally occurring acids to exfoliate, brighten and smooth the skin. They are used to blend pigmentation, improve skin texture, and promote regeneration.
How do Chemical peels work?
Peels range from mild and refreshing to more intense and resurfacing. Stronger peels penetrate into deeper layers of the skin (epidermis and dermis) to shed damaged cells through exfoliation and promote skin repair and regeneration. We offer a full range of Dr Tatiana’s own blend of chemical peels. Dr Tatiana has combined natural acids with anti-inflammatory ingredients to achieve optimal results, with minimal down-time.

How to Prepare for a Chemical Peel treatment?
At your clinic consultation with us, we will assess your skin, discuss your specific skin conditions and concerns and make a bespoke treatment plan to address your skin needs. At your Chemical Peel treatment appointment, your practitioner will discuss the steps of treatment and take you through the process of consent. We will then clean the skin and take pre-treatment photographs of your appearance. You will be given a head band and towel to protect your clothing. The therapist will clean and prepare the skin areas for the peel. The peel is then applied in layers on the skin areas to be treated . With each layer, the acid solution is penetrating deeper into the skin. Cool air will be blown on the skin to minimise the sensation of heat or stinging. At the end of treatment, the therapist will apply a retinol mask and soothing cream. You will be given an aftercare pack with a second retinol mask and soothing cream that can be used until the skin heals.
Chemical peels are a safe and effective treatment for acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, enlarged pores and uneven skin texture. The treatment is suitable for all skin types and skin tone.
Patch-testing is not generally required for chemical peels. If you have specific allergies or skin concerns, it is important to discuss these with the therapist at your first consultation.
For optimal results, most patients will require 1-3 skin peel sessions (approximately 1 session every 6 weeks).
The results and benefits of this treatment are long-term. However, over time, concerns such as pores, pigmentation or fine lines and wrinkles may return on the face. Thus you may benefit from doing chemical peels again in the future.
The treatment is not painful. Most people will feel mild or moderate heat and stinging during the treatment. Usually, you can continue with normal work activities after 1-3 days downtime and normal social activities after 5-7 days.
There is some redness, swelling, sensitivity and peeling of the skin. Peeling usually starts 2 days after treatment and continues for a total of 5 days.
Chemical peels are carried out at our London clinic by our professional, experienced therapists.
We recommend that you pause any treatments like retinol, tretinoin, salicylic acid or glycolic for 5 days prior treatment. We recommend that you do not tan for at least 4 weeks prior to and for at least 6 weeks after this treatment.
