This dynamic, non-ablative treatment, pairs RF microneedling with an erbium glass laser.
The RF microneedles deliver heat to the deeper layers of the skin via precise needles, whilst the laser gently delivers powerful beams to the skin in microcolumns, creating bulk heating. This works to effectively target common signs of ageing in any skin type, with almost no downtime and an instant glass-like glow to the skin.

How to prepare?
All our patients are invited for a consultation appointment prior to treatment. During your consultation, the doctor will assess your concerns and the areas for potential treatment. A laser patch test will also be carried out. There may be a number of other suitable treatment options and the practitioner will discuss these with you in detail. You will be sent information about each treatment via email.
If you choose to go ahead with Secret DUO: on the day of treatment you will be seen by the Doctor who will take you through the consent process, answer any other questions you may have, take before-treatment pictures and apply numbing cream to the area.
Once the skin is anaesthetised, the Secret DUO treatment will begin. This will involve radiofrequency microneedling which will feel like warm pulses on the skin. It can be a little uncomfortable but generally not painful. This will take approximately 20 minutes. Immediately after this, the erbium glass laser treatment will be performed, taking around 20 minutes; and feels similar to being in the sun.

This treatment has been established as a safe and effective treatment for skin laxity, acne scars, traumatic scars, pigmentation, sun damage, enlarged pores, fine lines and uneven skin texture.
The treatment is suited to any skin type.
Yes, we require a patch-test at least 1 week prior to your treatment and no more than 6 months from your planned treatment date (even if you have had this treatment done previously elsewhere). The patch-test takes 10 minutes to do and can sometimes be done at your consultation appointment. We recommend stopping retinol 5 days prior and avoiding sun exposure 2 weeks prior patch-test.

The skin is pink and may be slightly puffy for a day after treatment.

We recommend that you pause any treatments like retinol, tretinoin, salicylic acid or glycolic for 14 days prior treatment. We recommend that you do not tan for at least 4 weeks prior to and for at least 6 weeks after this treatment.
