Treatment of the month: Laser for Thread Veins

Thread veins are tiny twisted red, blue or purple blood vessels that run close to the surface  of the skin and give the skin a blotchy, uneven tone. Thread veins are extremely common and can affect your confidence and self-esteem.

Our specialised lasers can be used to target and remove thread veins on the face, body and legs quickly and effectively. It works by sending a laser light safely through the skin which is readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to point where the blood in the targeted blood vessel coagulates and causing the vein to break down. The damaged veins gradually dissolve and fade over several weeks after treatment. In some cases 2-3 sessions may be needed to fully rid the skin of all thread veins.

Skincare ingredient of the month: Vitamin C

This month the spotlight is on Vitamin C – a key anti-ageing skincare ingredient that helps to gently brighten and smooth your skin. It’s one of the most powerful antioxidants and helps protect your skin against free radical damage caused by the environment, which can break down your collagen and encourage wrinkles and sagging. Vitamin C also fights free radicals, gently fades pigment patches and even helps to stop inflammation in its tracks! If you’re using glycolic or salicylic acid and retinol, you will need to leave some time in between before applying your vitamin C product to avoid any stinging or redness.
