BioFiller is a cutting-edge, natural injectable treatment that harnesses the regenerative power of your own blood components to restore facial volume, smooth wrinkles, and rejuvenate skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, BioFiller utilises autologous materials—meaning it’s derived entirely from your own body—minimising the risk of allergic reactions and ensuring a biocompatible solution. The process begins with two blood samples. From the first, plasma is gently heated and cooled to form a thick, yellow coagulated substance known as plasma albumin gel. The second sample is processed to extract platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is rich in growth factors that stimulate healing and rejuvenation. The PRP is then combined with the albumin gel to create BioFiller. The resulting mixture is a viscous, natural filler that not only restores volume but also promotes skin rejuvenation through the sustained release of growth factors .

How to prepare?

At your consultation, we will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and tailor a personalised treatment plan. During your treatment your skin is cleaned, photos are taken, and some blood is drawn for the treatment. It takes around 30-45 minutes to make the BioFiller. During this time you will have some numbing cream applied (if needed). The treatment itself takes around 30 minutes depending on the areas being treated. You may feel a mild stinging or achey sensation, but it is generally well tolerated. After treatment the skin is puffy, pink and may feel slightly sore. This is normal and will subside over a few hours/days after treatment. You may experience some bruising.

BioFiller is a safe and effective option to address a number of concerns. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, BioFiller utilises autologous materials—meaning it’s derived entirely from your own body—minimising the risk of allergic reactions and ensuring a biocompatible solution.

Usually 3 sessions are required.

Immediate volume restoration, glow and improved hydration can be seen the next day. Long-term improvements in volume, skin firmness and skin quality develop over several sessions.

Following a course of 3 treatments, results usually last over a year.

The procedure is well tolerated, patients usually reports an achy sensation which subsides quickly.

You may experience some redness, stinging, bruising and swelling of the skin; this is completely normal. This may take approximately 3-5 days to subside but bruising may take longer.

BioFiller is carried out by one of our experienced Doctors.

To prepare your skin and body for your upcoming BioFiller treatment, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners (If Medically Appropriate) 5–7 days before your appointment, avoid: Aspirin, ibuprofen (Neurofen), naproxen, and other NSAIDs, Fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, garlic supplements, and other blood-thinning supplements. (Always consult your GP before stopping prescribed medications.)
  • Pause Active Skincare Ingredients 3 days before treatment, stop using: Retinol or Retinoids (e.g. tretinoin), Glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other chemical exfoliants
  • Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment
  • Stop smoking where possible, as it can reduce healing and collagen response
  • Stay hydrated: drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment — this makes blood draw and plasma separation more effective
  • Eat normally before your appointment: have a light meal before coming in to avoid dizziness during the blood draw
  • Avoid caffeine right before treatment if you are sensitive to it
  • Inform Us About: Any medical conditions, including blood disorders or active infections, any recent illness, fever, cold sores, or recent cosmetic procedures
