Your Surgical Journey

Consultant-led surgery, delivered in our private operating theatre in London, with honest advice and careful support at every stage.

Surgery is a considered decision.

We treat it as one.

Choosing surgery is a significant step, and it deserves time, clarity and complete honesty. Our surgical journey is designed to give you all three. From your first consultation to your final review, you will know exactly what to expect, who is caring for you and why each recommendation is being made.

Our philosophy is understated refinement: results that look like you, refreshed, never overdone. And because our clinic offers both surgical and non-surgical care, our advice is never limited to one approach. If a non-surgical treatment would serve you better, we will tell you.

Led by a consultant surgeon
Dr Rishi Mandavia
BSc, MSc, PhD, MBBS, FRCS and FRSM

Our surgical service is led by Dr Rishi Mandavia, Consultant, Fellowship-Trained ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon. He works alongside a team of NHS-trained Consultant Facial and Body Plastic Surgeons and Consultant Anaesthetists.

All procedures are carried out in our state-of-the-art private operating theatre in the heart of London, within our CQC-registered clinic.

Step 01
Your surgical consultation

Your surgical journey at our London clinic begins with a detailed consultation with Dr Rishi, taking time to understand your goals, concerns, medical history and lifestyle. Following a thorough assessment of structural change and skin ageing, we will discuss the results you would like to achieve and the approach best suited to you.

Every surgical plan is entirely bespoke. We will guide you through the recommended procedure, anticipated recovery and aftercare, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and feel fully informed at every stage.

From your first consultation, you will also have a named patient coordinator as your dedicated point of contact through to your final review. Our concierge service gives you direct WhatsApp access for discreet, responsive support with everything from appointments and travel arrangements to questions throughout your recovery.

Consultation fee
The surgical consultation fee is £250 and is non-refundable.

Step 02
Time to reflect

We never ask patients to decide at their first appointment.

After your consultation we will send you a detailed letter setting out your personalised plan: the technique recommended and why, what the procedure involves, the risks, the expected recovery, and a written quotation. This gives you time to consider everything at home before deciding whether to go ahead. Where appropriate, a second consultation will be arranged before your surgery is confirmed.

Step 03
Preparing for your surgery

Once you have decided to proceed, you will be guided through a pre-operative assessment to ensure you are ready for surgery and that your procedure can be carried out as safely as possible.

This may include a review of your medical history and any current medications, blood tests or other investigations where required, and advice on medications, supplements and smoking before surgery. You will also receive clear written instructions on how to prepare, including fasting guidance where relevant and what to bring on the day.

If your procedure involves sedation or general anaesthesia, you will need to arrange for a responsible adult to take you home afterwards.

Consent
Your surgeon will go through your consent form with you in detail, covering the benefits, risks and alternatives of your procedure. You will only be asked to sign once you are fully informed and comfortable to proceed.

Step 04
The day of your surgery

On arrival, you will be welcomed by our team and settled in before meeting your surgeon and, where required, your consultant anaesthetist. They will confirm your treatment plan, answer any final questions and ensure you are comfortable.

Your procedure will take place in our private operating theatre. Afterwards, you will be cared for in recovery until you are ready to go home, with written aftercare instructions and details of who to contact should you need us.

Discharge letter
Before you go home you will be given a discharge letter summarising the procedure carried out, your medication, how to care for your incisions, the signs to look out for, the dates of your review appointments and who to contact if you have any concerns.

Step 05
Your recovery

Your care continues well beyond surgery. Dr Rishi Mandavia and his clinical team will follow you closely throughout your recovery, with reviews arranged as often as you need them.

During the first week, patients are typically reviewed daily, either in person or by telephone or video consultation, with more frequent or continued daily reviews arranged where required. Sutures are generally removed in stages between seven and fourteen days, followed by ongoing appointments throughout your recovery.

Step 06
Beyond surgery

Surgical results continue to settle and refine over the months that follow. Your surgeon will see you for a final review to assess your outcome and discuss how best to maintain it.

As an integrated surgical and non-surgical clinic, we can also support your results over time with skin health and regenerative treatments, all planned by the same team that knows your history.

Your aftercare also includes access to our programme of regenerative postoperative treatments, including targeted laser therapies, LED light therapy, biostimulation and biorevitalisation. Individually planned by Dr Rishi and introduced at the appropriate stage of healing, these treatments are designed to support recovery, optimise scar quality and enhance your surgical result.

Your dedicated patient coordinator manages every stage and remains available via WhatsApp throughout. There is no fixed limit to your postoperative reviews, if you need to be seen, we will see you.
