Pinnaplasty/Otoplasty (Ear Pinning Surgery)
What is OTOPLASTY/PINNAPLASTY?
Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning surgery or pinnaplasty, is a procedure that reshapes or repositions the ears to create a more natural and balanced appearance. Prominent, asymmetrical, or misshapen ears can sometimes draw unwanted attention and affect confidence.
Otoplasty addresses these concerns by refining the shape, position, or proportion of the ears. The result is a natural, harmonious look where the ears complement — rather than distract from — your overall facial features.
What is THE PROCESS?
Your journey starts with a detailed consultation, where we assess your ear anatomy, facial proportions, and personal goals.
- We will explain the surgical options available, recommend the best approach for your needs, and outline the recovery process. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and will be introduced to your dedicated patient coordinator, who will guide you through each step and provide direct, discreet support via WhatsApp.
- The surgery is usually performed under local anaesthetic with sedation. During the procedure, discreet incisions together with suturing are performed behind the ear to allow for careful reshaping and repositioning of the cartilage. The technique is designed to minimise visible scarring, with results that look natural and balanced.
- Recovery is generally smooth: most patients return to light activities within 14 days, although a supportive dressing may be worn initially to protect the ears. Bruising and swelling gradually settle over the following weeks, and the final outcome is long-lasting, with the ears positioned in a more refined and proportionate way.
- Our team ensures that your experience feels seamless and reassuring, from preparation through to post-operative care, so you feel informed and supported at every stage.
